September in Moray

The season of so-called mists and mellow fruitfulness – I am not so sure about this but September certainly is one of my favourite months. With our wonderful Moray micro-climate, we generally enjoy light, long, warm days and then the Autumn colours turn on.

Due to Moray being so densely wooded the countryside turns golden as far as the eye can see and adds to magic you feel in this part of Scotland. This to me is the perfect time to be outside riding or walking. The scenery if you are driving will make you want to stop to take a photo around every corner.

If you are a golfer you can take up the option to compete in the Speyside Golf Festival or  if you would prefer a great course to play check out the local Moray Speyside Courses.

Looking for something to do inside you cannot fail to be impressed with the local produce at Spirit of Speyside’s own Distilled a two day showcase of local Spirits.

Prefer a different type of event – we have it all. Check out Nairn Book and Arts Festival  – there is absolutely something for everyone here from talks from your favourite author to superb blues bands in the evenings and that is before you have visited the beautiful Nairn beaches.

Blervie House

September certainly brings many reasons to visit us at Blervie House – quietness and relaxation are a necessity in life and we like to think we offer that in abundance here but sometimes it is nice to go and find something different and we hope we have that here for you.
