I think you will find the proverb normally goes along the lines of March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb. I think this means that the weather at the beginning of March is still Winter and the corresponding weather but by the end of March it is Spring and with again the appropriate weather.
That’s not the case this year the weather is coming in like a lamb and all the signs of Spring are here – lambs in the field, beautiful bright sunny days, snowdrops and crocuses all over the place. All this helps to make this area of Scotland a year-round destination particularly due to it’s microclimate and long sunshine hours.
Talking of destinations, are you planning your next travel destination? Everybody else seems to be judging by the bookings we are receiving. If you are like me you need something to look forward to and travel is always does it for me.
Are a Golfer or a Walker? We now have our Visit Scotland Golfer and Walkers Welcome Assurance. If you are looking for some great golf courses to play check out this golf link. Scotland is the home of golf and there are some fabulous local courses. And we have walking routes to suit every level.
Again, in Scotland we are not really pre-occupied with the weather some people would say if you don’t like the weather just wait 10 minutes others might suggest the weather presents a retail opportunity and I can certainly help direct you to some seriously world class shopping on our doorstep.
And here are some wise words from previous guests.
“I wish we would have been able to stay here longer”
